Eligibility Criteria for SSC CHSL Recruitment 2026

Educational Qualification
1. DEO / DEO Grade ‘A’ in specified departments
Candidates applying for Data Entry Operator (DEO) and DEO Grade ‘A’ posts in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Staff Selection Commission and Ministry of Culture must have passed the 12th Standard in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.
2. Other LDC / JSA and DEO Posts
Candidates applying for other LDC, JSA, DEO and DEO Grade ‘A’ posts must have passed the 12th Standard or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
Appearing Candidates: Candidates who have appeared in their 12th Standard examination may also apply, provided they possess the required educational qualification on or before the prescribed cut-off date of 7 October 2026.

The age of candidates must be between 18 and 27 years as on 1 August 2026.
